Patrick Genyn
Patrick Genyn is a creative and strategic leader with over 35 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, specializing in clinical data management, interoperability standards, and the modernization of clinical trial operations. A long-time advocate for CDISC and HL7 FHIR, he has led numerous initiatives to streamline clinical research through structured, standards-based data exchange. Patrick is currently focused on applying HL7 FHIR to bridge the gap between clinical care and clinical research—aligning real-world clinical data with protocol-driven requirements to enable more efficient, scalable, and semantically interoperable trials.

Andy Richardson
Andy Richardson, a pharmacologist by original training, has over 35 years of senior leadership experience in the pharmaceutical and CRO sectors principally in clinical data management, and study operational logistics and delivery. He has a long-running interest in optimizing and improving operational efficiency and has published extensively and regularly on these topics. Recent work has focused on the use of the HL7 FHIR standards to improve and enhance the accuracy and timeliness of specifying, collecting and confirming clinical research data directly from study sites.
